I understand it can be a challenge to decide whether to go the route of therapy or coaching. Here are some common FAQ's that clients ask when exploring their options...

What is the difference?
Although I do have past experience diagnosing as a MFT trainee, I do not have the authority to diagnose & treat mental illness as your Coach. This knowledge & previous experience gives me great understanding of the importance of mental health and how we can work as people to break the stigma.
Absolutely! One of the best ways I can help you in the present is understanding your past and what brought you to this exact moment in time. Processing beliefs, experiences, failures, and accomplishments are all part of exploring your personal strengths and areas that need a little TLC.
Coaching is a more directive approach than therapy in that it is result driven & goal oriented. Yes, we will do a lot of processing, yet goals will typically be at the forefront of our sessions. A goal can be as simple as wanting to minimize discomfort around a situation you're experiencing, or as grand as wanting to launch your dream business!
Most definitely! Not all coaches work as I do; however, since my background is in psychology, I see life through the lens of examining how our thoughts, emotions, and behavior can impact our lives for the better or worse. I will use an intuitive approach to ask you questions that will provide you with insight and knowledge to your most intimate self.
What is realistic for me?
Right away! I believe there is great value in validating your experience & supporting you in your journey. You should leave session feeling seen, understood, & like you have support in your life where you might have been missing it. According to studies, it can take about 3 months to form a new habit, so it is encouraged to stick to consistent weekly sessions in order to see the full benefits of our time together. As always, we get out of life what we put into it - and coaching is no different!
A typical 1 hr session lasts 50 minutes. If you would like to meet for a half (30 min) or 2 hr (110 min) session, then we can work that out when booking time together. I typically recommend meeting once weekly; however, if you wish to meet twice a week or spread your sessions further out apart that is fine as well. I am here to accommodate your schedule.
Our time together will provide you with a wealth of insight & knowledge about yourself! You will also learn how to:
- Get in touch with God's gentle guidance
- Make decisions that are aligned with your values-
Learn how to identify & express your needs & Christ centered boundaries
- Identify God's purpose for your life
- Identify old patterns & beliefs that are holding you back
- Adopt skills to regulate your nervous system
- Heal the root to change the fruit in your life
- Come home to your most aut
